Evolution, Illuminated.
The Jaguar XJ50 Limited Edition marked the next evolution of Elumin8’s illuminated treadplate technology, carrying forward the proven electroluminescent solution developed for the X351 XJ.
Building on the knowledge and technology established through the original XJ programme, Elumin8 developed an adapted lighting solution tailored to the XJ50 Limited Edition. The programme demonstrated our ability to evolve an existing technology platform while maintaining the performance, quality and reliability required for a premium automotive application.
As a Tier 2 partner, Elumin8 provided the complete electronic design, development and validation of the lighting system, alongside manufacturing, supply and ongoing programme technical support.
The result was a scalable and adaptable illuminated treadplate solution that could be carried forward into a special-edition vehicle programme while retaining the core technology and engineering expertise developed through the original XJ programme.

The Challenge
Adapt the proven X351 XJ illuminated treadplate technology for the XJ50 Limited Edition, creating a distinctive solution while retaining the established performance, reliability and production capability of the original system.
The programme required a lighting solution that could evolve with the vehicle without requiring the technology to be developed from the ground up.
Our Solution
An evolved electroluminescent lighting system based on the technology platform originally developed for the X351 XJ.
Elumin8 adapted the existing electronic architecture and lighting technology to meet the requirements of the XJ50 Limited Edition, demonstrating the scalability and flexibility of our EL platform.
As a Tier 2 partner, Elumin8 managed the electronic design, development and validation testing, alongside manufacturing, supply and ongoing technical support throughout the programme.
