Crafted to Illuminate
For the Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary, illumination became an integral part of an exceptionally exclusive interior. As a limited-edition model, the programme demanded a lighting solution that was as distinctive as the vehicle itself.
With a highly experienced in-house R&D function, Elumin8 was asked to develop a unique illumination system for the door veneers. What followed was an extremely challenging engineering project, requiring Elumin8 to develop a bespoke LED lighting solution specifically for the front door panels.
Working as a Tier 1 supplier, Elumin8 delivered the complete electronic design, development and validation of the system, followed by manufacture, supply and ongoing programme technical support.
The result was a striking illuminated door panel that demonstrates how Elumin8’s R&D expertise can transform ambitious lighting concepts into production-ready automotive solutions.

The Challenge
Develop a unique illumination system for the door veneers of the Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary, creating a visually exceptional feature while meeting the demanding requirements of a highly specialised, limited-edition vehicle.
The project presented a significant engineering challenge, requiring a bespoke lighting solution to be developed around the unique requirements of the door panels.
Our Solution
A bespoke LED illumination system developed through Elumin8’s in-house R&D and engineering capability.
Elumin8 took responsibility for the complete electronic design, development and validation process, developing a solution specifically for the front left and right door panels of the Wraith Luminary.
The project demonstrated the value of Elumin8’s flexible R&D approach taking on complex and unconventional lighting challenges and developing them into reliable, production-ready solutions.
Following development and validation, Elumin8 manufactured and supplied the system as a Tier 1 partner, providing ongoing technical support throughout the programme.
